A Birthday Give-away: Win a B&D 24V Trimmer!

It’s Ozzie’s birthday (he’s 13!) – but the gift just could be for you.

In a first of its kind contest at This D*mn House, a Black & Decker 24 Volt Cordless String Trimmer/ Edger with PowerCommand™ is up for grabs. Ozzie and I are both very excited about giving something away! And thanks to our friends at Black & Decker for making it possible.

You just read my review (and if you haven’t, go do it now) so you know what you might be getting! Believe me, you want this. Take it from someone who HATES yard work!

There are THREE ways to get your name in the hat. Please note, while you can do all three, you can do each ONLY ONCE (for a maximum total of 21 entries). Here’s how to enter:
· Leave a comment on this post – 1 entry (post-related, please)
· Tweet this post’s link – 5 entries
· Write a blog post – 15 entries (your post must contain a link to the contest post)

For the latter two, please let me know you’ve done it! (You could even make THAT your comment on this post and earn another entry.)

What you get: the trimmer/edger, charger and 24V battery with a retail value of $139.

Contest ends at 12:01 a.m. CDT Sunday, June 27. What are you waiting for? Good luck!

Happy Birthday Ozzie! I was JUST thinking of purchasing one of these this week! Even though I don't want anyone else to win, I'm tweeting this for the extra entries :)

I tweeted a link to the giveaway. http://twitter.com/bentist/status/16785502580

I have very little grass and can't justify buying a lawnmower, but this would be perfect! Happy Birthday to Ozzie!

I'm queuing up. I've had terrible luck with trimmers.

Happy Birthday Ozzie!

No blog or Twitter (I may have to reconsider that) but I think my trimmer is about to bite the dust so sign me up please.

Happy Birthday Ozzie! This would be great for me and my husband to try out. We have a smallish city yard, so the battery might work and then I wouldn't have to spend 10 minutes trying to get the gas one to fire up!

I was so happy to see your review of this tool. I've had an electric trimmer, and am now using (and sick of!) a gas-powered one. I will definitely be getting one of these one way or the other.

Happy birthday, Ozzie! My neighbor let us borrow this exact trimmer last week, and my husband is seriously considering buying one for himself.

I just blogged about the giveaway!

I am almost certain I have not done this properly, and most certainly will be disqualified. I am NOT computer literate, but I am most assuredly a DIYer. I will try most anything....don't have an original thought, but can copy or duplicate things that I see.

While at my daughter's home in Ohio this month for the birth of their first baby, I did quite a bit of trimming and edging (by hand with a pointed shovel, a broom and a long handled tire iron)of her side walks. She lives on the corner of a busy intersection, and to be truthful I only managed to finish the front of the house after diligently working on it for two and a half days.
Too much time, too little money. Should I win the B&D 24V Trimmer, I will give it to my daughter (she sent a link through her blog and that's how I found you) and son in law to keep up their "project"--I meant "home".

HB to Ozzie.........

A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who entered ... and congratulations to Sarah, our winner!

Thank you (and Black and Decker) for your generosity. You could NOT have found a better recipient. I wasn't sure if she was the only "Sarah" that had entered, so I waited as long as I could and at 5:30 AM this morning, I had to call to see.....(Now before you freak out at the time, she does have a newborn that nurses about then). I am probably just as excited as she was, as next time I visit I will be able to spend more time with the baby, and much less time on trimming out the sidewalks.

Simply can't thank you enough, Clara's Grammy
