As October winds down, so does the observance of Breast Cancer Awareness month. It's estimated that 1 in 8 women will face this dreaded illness in their lifetime. After skin cancer, it is the most common form of cancer in women.
The good news: It's not a death sentence. The bad news: We still don't have a cure. And it's to that end that I offer this photo. I received it today in an email. (So I'll apologize in advance for the poor quality.)
It is by far one of the cutest, sweetest, and most direct pleas to end this horrible disease that I've ever seen.
I hope we listen to this li'l lady ...

Did my mom send this to you? I got it in an email today too. Like the shirt...the baby kind of reminds me of that old man who puffs his cheeks and does something with his lips, kind of like what this baby is doing.
I fear breast cancer...and skin cancer. It's sad to think that we're still battling this.
Gotta get the boob pancakes, ladies [aka, mammograms]!!
I've had 2 - seriously, they're no big deal AT ALL.
My grandmother died of breast cancer two years ago... I hope we can solve this!
V -- No. My former assistant did. It is sad to think this is still killing so many women. It MUST be stopped!
Ann -- Yeah, I've got an Rx for one. Can't say I'm lookin' forward to it.
Jennifer -- I'm SO sorry. You're absolutely right.
