I was really disappointed when I didn't win that $200+ million in Powerball the other night. I was disappointed not only for me, but also for you.
You see, I thought it would be fun to come and visit housebloggers all around the country and come and help them with their projects. Of course, there would be a syndication deal with HGTV or DIY, sponsor for lots of the materials ... and it would be fantastic blog material!
So I'm telling the mother all this the other night when she's asking me what I would do with the money. She offhandedly asks: "So I guess you'd hire Lawrence?"
Duh. I thought that was a given! Of course I'd pay him an outrageous amount of money and make sure he had plenty of buff helpers! "Well yeah," says I. "And you. And a crew. And we'd hit all parts of the country to do projects at peoples' homes. What a great new reality show: YOUR D*mn House! (I'm trademarking this, BTW, so don't get any ideas ...)
"You know, you're really crazy," the mother responds.
I nod. "It's genetic."
I didn't win last night either. But there's always the weekend, right?

You are both insane! Funny but insane!!
I want to be your "Paige Davis"!(Trading Spaces) That's my dream job! I hope you win soon...
;)
Oh, I hope you win, because I want you to come here! With Lawrence! Can Ashlyn be one of your wreckers?
You know, contrary to monkeygirl, that's not an insane idea. There's potential for a nice interactive element (with the blogger community). Give it some structure, all the ins and outs and whos and whats and whys. Fill in all the details. But don't post details. Just something to think about in all your spare time. Somebody's gotta create new shows just like somebody's gotta win the Powerball. Might as well be you.
MG -- Not everyone thinks it's so crazy ...
Kspin -- You're hired!
V -- Ashlyn's on the crew! And you're definitely on the list.
Why -- Thanks! Hope you are right and that it can be me!
Glad you guys liked the idea. Now to win Powerball ...
I don't even know WHY I ever hope to win the lottery...but I actually DO.
