Genesis: Day One

I'm not as far as I'd planned or even hoped to be, but progress is definitely happening. Ask PB. She can vouch for me.

I got a surprise call and subsequent visit from her. She thought she was going to paint. Silly girl! I wasn't going to put her to work. But she ended up taking off some of the remaining hinges for me.

It's still a work in progress and I am still not calling it quits for the day yet, but here is what was over the sink when I got home last night.

And this is pretty much the way they look tonight.
I'm blown away by the difference. I can't wait to get doors on and see i they look like I saw them. I'll be even happier when the other half is done, too! And I still have the insides to do on the bottom but I got on a roll and I went with it. Like I said, work in progress ...

Awesomeness. You must feel like we did when trying to unpack and place all of our belongings. I'm feeling ya sista!

Progress! Yay! You are so going to finish before the mom comes home!

What a tremendous difference! And that paint color is just right.

These look great. I hope you found the drill bit I lost. The new color on the cabinets really make the joint look bigger and the design more cohesive with the new appliances.

Keep it up, you can do it!

Vicki -- Yes, I think I am feeling a LOT like that. :-)

Debbie -- Well, not finished, but I did get a lot done. Reveling in that.

Victoria -- Thank you! That's what it's all about. :-)

Why -- Yeah, I wasn't so sure about the color when I got started, but the farther I got, the more right it seemed!

PB -- I found the drill bit almost immediately so no worries. Thanks! I think the brighter color on the cabinets plus the ceiling plus the appliances really opens things up.
