Farewell, Summer

There’s no longer a way to deny the reality of the calendar: Summer is gone. Today is the first full day of fall. How did that happen?! Seems like it was just the Fourth of July a minute ago.

I’ve awakened with a nasty headache (probably due to the outrageous mold count of the past few days). Welcome to fall – and fall allergies.

And while we’re doing a little calendar housekeeping, here’s a belated shout-out to Jordan, cd’s firstborn, who turned 15 yesterday. Yeah. No denying that reality either – this boy is working on a license! Not sure how that happened either ...

I so love Autumn. This year it's still pretty hot though. It's supposed to be 100 degrees today, breaking a 24 year record. Yuck.

I want me some cool Fall weather!

Birthday boy is offically 15 and able to drive in our state on his permit. Help us all! Thanks for the message. Mold is not his friend and he's struggling, so no open windows for us. Mickie says "Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower".

Debbie -- I wish I could love autumn. I've just always thought of it as the prelude to winter -- UGH. But I do like the color changes.

Karen -- Yup. Allergies came in with a vengeance!

Victoria -- I'm a summer baby all the way.

cd -- Aw. What a nice thought. And thanks for the news clip on the birthday boy. He's something else! Never thought you and B would be moms to jocks!
