Did I Buy Lakefront Property?

No. I did not. But you'd think I did ...

Here's my lakefront roadway courtesy of the first of three storm fronts. Driving rain. High winds. Some hail, but not here. They said a tornado touched down about 10 miles away but now they're saying it was much farther. Hope all is well there.

Soon, the roadway will be littered with cars that, after making itthrough a series of flooded roads, couldn't make it through one more ...

Wow! It's probably a good thing you took today off. It looks like we missed the worst of the storm over here.

Wow - your lake is awesome. Andrew, Jordan and I were in St. Louis for the first wave. The sky started looking a nice shade of Restoration Hardware green when my Mom radar went off. The Target on Hampton and Chippewa has an underground garage and we made it there safely. I was really proud of myself until Andrew started yelling "the garage is filling up with water". Sure enough the sewers resembled beautiful little fountains that were filling the garage with their over flow. As we were moving our boat to dry ground I noticed all of the Target associates and customers flowing into the garage. They were evacuating the store because of the wailing sirens. We entertained ourselves by using Jordan's new phone to video the rising sewer water. We drove in wave two from Mo to IL. It cleared up and was sunny so we stopped at Home Depot in Glen Carbon on our way home. Once inside, the lights flashed and it sounded as though the roof was coming in during wave three. We are home and not moving for the remainder of the night.

Vicki -- Glad you guys were spared. Sounds like your late-night scare was enough.

Chris -- Holy moly, girl! Only you would be shopping in the middle of a storm! Must have been quite the adventure, with the storms tracking YOU. You should put Jordan's video online. Glad you're all OK.
