Teethmarks and Tantrums

I’ve not heard any updates today, but yesterday the mother was ready to return Taz to the yard. Apparently, the baby is going through some feline form of the terrible twos.

He can be so perfectly sweet one minute. And the next? Think Linda Blair in the Exorcist.
And almost quickly as the flashes of evil go off, little Mr. Sweetness and Light returns. Just look at that “Who, me?” expression. See what I mean?

When we look at those cute little innocent faces, kittens make us forget how much work they are, don't they?! Clever little devils. Totally worth it in the end though.

If it makes you feel any better, today our little darling scratched and bit her daddy both on his arm and on his face, drawing blood from both. His crime? She witnessed him petting a neighborhood cat. I guess she's the jealous type.

Exactly like my Taz used to do. He did this cobra strike on us where he'd be eyeballing us, stalking us from across the room. All of the sudden, when we weren't expecting it, he'd fly at us, bite really hard and then run away--cobra strike. Hurt like ... but then again, he never really did have a nice side.

I'm hoping (super emphasis on HOPE) that for Taz this is just a kitten phase. He can be so sweet otherwise.
