Michelangelo, Phase One

I didn't get as much done as I'd hoped to(and that's an understatement)but I did get the panels up on the bathroom ceiling. This looks a little different, doesn't it?

We're still trying to get used to it, but I'm pleased overall. Once the light gets back in and I get the trim up, it will look even better!

Now if it will ever stop raining, the mother can paint the kitchen panels and I can get things rolling in there. The Michelangelo Project is on its way!

And poor Michelangelo. My neck, back, arms, and legs STILL ache from having spent a day and night crawling up and down and standing on a ladder and holding both arms over my head. How did that dude manage it?

I'm thinking flat on his back on a platform.

....Or drinking heavily while he was painting!

Karen Anne's right--at least that's what I learned in college in Art History, aka "Art in the Dark".

I really like how striking the ceiling is. It's a bold statement and will look awesome once you have everything else completed.
I don't think you could do both; paint & drink. You might not like the results.

Karen Anne -- Yeah, what a slacker! :-)

MG -- I wish I could have done that, but I'd probably have fallen from the ladder. Not worth it!

Jayne -- That might actually have worked better for me than standing and craning my neck for hours on end.

MM -- Thanks! I'm pretty excited about it. I think it's going to be a nice contrast to the new white tile floor. (We're reversing from white ceiling/black floor.)

Good for you! From the little I can see I think it's going to pull things together nicely.
