Window No. 3

Continuing to share photos of the "Yes, Virginia ..." display in the windows at Macy's, we now come to the one I love. The family in the parlor in Window No. 1 is second only to this.

It must harken back to my old newspaper days. While the buildings I worked in during my 12-year print career were never this pretty some of them were from this era.

And come to think of it, so was some of the equipment I had to work on ...

I love this window. When I was little, my mom would take me to Macy's in Kansas City to look at all the windows during the Christmas season. This reminds me of those.

Even though I haven't been to downtown in years, your pictures sure make me want to go! Beautiful photography, how do you get flash pictures through a window with no reflection? Reminds me of when I was young, my auntie always took me down to see the windows.

Jayne -- Me, too! These were the very same windows I would come to as a child -- and then go upstairs to see Santa!

Sewwhat -- Cool! C'mon down. I'll take you to lunch. I do get some flash glare, but it has worked remarkably well considering.
