Slogged

I think I have dry socks in my bottom desk drawer. I’m usually good about keeping things like that on hand. Today I could really use them.

Thunderous rain awakened me sometime during the night Ozzie growled and came to the edge of the bed to be picked up. He fidgeted and continued growling and after some initial tossing and turning, I fell back to sleep.

When I got up hours later, it wasn’t doing anything. But about 15 minutes before I left, another thunderstorm , complete with a light show, rolled through. It kicked into high gear just as I closed the door behind me. Perfect – on a day when I didn’t want to get out of bed anyway!
The good news is that it’s much warmer this morning than it’’s been or it would be beyond miserable.

After an occasionally harrowing drive cross town, here I sit, sleepy and water-logged …. And hopin’ for a dry pair of socks.

I'm about 250 miles NE of you & it's just now starting to roll in. NOT looking forward to it. Hope you found dry socks, having cold wet feet sucks.

I cant help but love rain- there is something so clean and purifying about it that I cant help but feel renewed and ready to take on anything. I hope you find that today, well... that and a dry pair of socks. :)

Here in Des Moines it was a really great booming storm. I'm gonna miss these when winter rolls in with its deathly quiet. I like noisy weather. :)

I hate cold feet. I have to have dry, warm socks. We had a terrible rain too last night. My poor dog got socked . He has a doggie house but he was trying to escape the yard again and got all wet. He is the neighborhood trash destroyer.Bad dog.

It poured rain here last night, with lots of thunder and lightning, for about thirty minutes. Guess it moved over your way after that. Hope you found some dry socks.

Maybe it's too late but your blog title totally has me giggling! I love rain and miss cooler weather. However, I don't like wet cold feet! Brrr!

Kate -- I DID find dry socks. And thanks. I'm feeling a little defeated on the contest front at the moment, but who knows? Thanks for the head's up.

Victoria -- This round has really revved up my arthritis so I'm ready for it to just leave!

Kelli -- I'm just gonna hate to see winter roll in ... period. :-)

Karen -- Yeah. Cold, wet feet just suck!

Jayne -- Thought about you and was hoping you were staying dry to have a chance to fill in all those new li'l holes. :-)

kspin -- Thanks! I'm not even sure it's the right word by definition but it sure SOUNDS right and exactly the way I've felt getting soaked all the time.
